Grounding

Before any energy work, you should feel steady in your body.

Grounding is the act of bringing your awareness back into the present moment and into your physical form. Energy work should not feel dizzy, dramatic, or overwhelming. It should feel calm, clear, and anchored.

Here are a few simple grounding practices to get you started:

Root Visualization

Stand with both feet flat on the floor.
Close your eyes and imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet and moving down into the earth.
Picture them reaching deep, anchoring you.
Take slow breaths and feel your weight settle downward.

Finding Your Balance

Stand still and gently shift your weight from left foot to right foot.
Notice where your balance feels strongest and most even.
Allow your body to settle into that equilibrium.

Walk Outside

If possible, step outdoors.
Place your feet directly on the ground or pavement.
Feel the temperature, the air, the sounds.
Let your body adjust to the environment instead of staying in your thoughts.

Visual Check-In

Look around the room and name five physical objects you can see.
Notice their colors, textures, and shapes.
This brings your awareness back into the present moment.
